Investing

To make low interest loans to farmers, small businesses and struggling families, FORGE needs money to lend. FORGE currently has 200+ member investors with investments ranging from $50 to $250,000. FORGE currently offers interest rates above the current CD rates to investors with over $500 in their accounts. The interest rates and terms are negotiable. No investor has ever lost any part of their investment with FORGE. Investors with balance of $500 or more automatically become voting members of the organization.

You can invest in FORGE in the following ways:

Accounts of $500 or less provide funds for the revolving loan fund. All interest earned is utilized for operational support of the FORGE General Credit Fund.

An investment of $500 to $5,000 earns interest payable to the investor. Typically, interest earned is 2% less than the Federal Discount Rate. Investors may elect to donate all or a portion of the interest back to FORGE for operational support.

An investment of over $5,000 earns interest payable to the investor. Typically, interest earned is 1.5% less than the Federal Discount Rate. The investor can elect to donate all or a portion of the interest back to FORGE for operational support.

For investments of $10,000 or more, contact a member of the FORGE staff for current terms.

For more details, or to start a FORGE Investor Account, please contact a member of the FORGE staff.
